Catherine Luchini, D.D.S.

Dr. Cathy has been practicing dentistry with compassion and excellence since 1988. A proud graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., she discovered her passion for helping children early on through outreach programs providing dental care to underserved communities. While in D.C., she also met and married her classmate—and Spokane native—Dr. Joseph Luchini.

After relocating to Spokane, Dr. Cathy balanced her career with raising three children. Over the years, she has served as staff dentist at Shriners Hospital for Children, taught in Eastern Washington University’s Dental Hygiene program, and lectured at Spokane Falls Community College’s Dental Assisting School.

Since 2021, Dr. Luchini has immersed herself in advanced education on airway health and the treatment of restricted oral tissues, utilizing laser surgical interventions. She performs procedures using the LightScalpel CO₂ laser, regarded as the gold standard of care. Dr. Luchini is a proud Breathe Institute Ambassador, a distinction shared currently by only three dentists in Eastern Washington. She is certified through Dr. Richard Baxter’s Tongue-Tie Academy and is a member of ASAP Pathways Pediatric Airway program. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry.

To date, Dr. Luchini has performed thousands of laser surgeries, helping hundreds of children in the community achieve better health, improved sleep, and brighter smiles.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Cathy enjoys spending time with her family—and recently celebrated becoming a grandmother for the first time in May 2025, a new role that brings her endless joy.

Her philosophy is simple: create a gentle, welcoming experience for every child and family who walks through the door. As she loves to say, every visit should be the “Best Day Ever!”
